Reclaimed or Recycled Vintage Fabric

Slingfings have always used recycled and reclaimed vintage fabric and retro fabric, and over the last 4 years we have managed to source an incredible selection of fabrics. We hold a stock of over 200 different styles of vintage fabric from the 1950’s and early 1960’s, thru to the retro fabric of the late 1960’s and 1970’s.

Our vintage fabric range includes nana florals on barkcloths, kitsch kitchen prints and the bold geometrics that became more popular as 50’s kitsch morphed into the retro fabric of the 60’s. The 60’s and 70’s fabrics which we find our the bold retro florals, marimekko style bold geometric prints and trippy geo’s and swirls.

At Slingfings our collection of vintage fabric and retro fabric is always changing. Every few weeks we are out on the road sourcing more fabric, and have people collecting for us all over Australia. We are frequently approached by customers or interested individuals with, perhaps, treasures from their grandma’s bottom drawer . Anything reclaimed or recycled and in good condition. We source vintage or retro fabric from the 1950’s onwards. All bought in Australia, mainly Australian made, and predominately natural cotton and linens. We travel all over Australia looking for old vintage fabric and retro fabric. It’s always an incredible feeling when we find something really rare or unusual out of the blue. Often we just follow our noses, and a random conversation in a small town can lead me to a long forgotten stash of vintage fabric in a dusty old cupboard.
